How It All Began
Executive Assistants Organization (EAO) was launched in 2013 due to one former assistants unwavering desire to change the world of administrative professionals for the better. Unsatisfied with the choice of resources and the lack of support available for the industry, a quest for change began.
The vision was simple; to create an epicenter for like-minded assistants to congregate, collaborate, and share with one another, which would inevitably curate a movement followed by assistants around the globe.
EAO’s vision was soon realized.
Gone are the times where assistants are unrecognized for their herculean efforts within their workplace.
Nor does one need to feel isolated in their role. EAO brings assistants together on a regular basis during local chapter events, educational retreats, Behind Every Leader conferences, mentorship programs and 24/7 online forums.
Executives are continuing to realize these new breed of assistants are indispensable assets and by doing so, recognizing their worth by displaying acts of gratitude, showing respect and foreseeing a true partnership together.
Sharing knowledge is a key factor of the organization. Assistants accumulate a wealth of knowledge and expertise and rarely have the opportunity to share this wisdom with other assistants due to lack of interaction or camaraderie.
EAO’s philosophies state that in order for us to excel, we must collaborate, share knowledge and build camaraderie. Therefore, every member is a mentor.
EAO is launching chapters across North America, and soon internationally, to assist us on our mission to shed light on a profession that is somewhat; misunderstood by many. Our sole purpose is to provide support, offer cutting edge resources to nurture career development and celebrate the profession by bringing executive assistants to the forefront.
The organization’s growth and shared vision has reinforced that this profession is a valiant one, and one that needs nurturing in order to thrive.

EAO Events, Conferences & Retreats
In addition to the global online network of EAO members, you will have many opportunities to network with your EAO peers during local chapter meet ups, sponsored evening events, weekend activities and EAO focus groups. An incredible opportunity to meet EAO’ers from other chapters in your region.
When you join EAO, you join a chapter as well as the organization itself. As part of this local community of EA’s, members participate in regular chapter learning and social events. At these functions, you will have the opportunity to connect with local EAO members while benefiting from the knowledge of guest speakers who discuss a variety of business topics. In many cases, these programs capitalize on the availability of high-quality local presenters, educating you on nearby resources and addressing themes in your business community.
EAO Educational Retreats
Educate & Rejuvenate are our intimate gatherings of up to 50 EAO members. Over two days (typically a weekend) attendees can enjoy the tranquil surroundings of a lavish venue/resort while simultaneously gaining education and best practices during our workshops. Activities, education, lunch and accommodation is all-inclusive. Attendees are responsible for flights, breakfast and evening meals. The tickets are usually sold out within one week of announcing the retreat. A very popular EAO event!
Behind Every Leader Conferences
Behind Every Leader (BEL) is a production by EAO. This internationally recognized conference is hosted in different cities across North America twice a year.
These high energy, multi-faceted events connect you with hundreds of peers, EAO members and prolific speakers from around the world.
Throughout the conference attendees will immerse themselves in cutting edge training by means of keynotes, panel discussions, interactive workshops and live interviews.
Each and every EAO training segment and every BEL agenda has been comprised by the feedback provided by our valued members and BEL attendees. Once we receive the consensus on the topics requested, we meticulously source the experts that specialize in the specific topics in question. The segments are then crafted specifically for our EAO members by the best trainers in the business.

EAO Mentorship Program
The EAO Mentorship Program offers you the opportunity to work one on one with a highly experienced mentor in an ongoing, structured mentorship. Each and every EAO mentor has been selected due to their devotion and commitment to their profession. EAO members will go through a telephone interview with EAO to decipher their specific needs and desired outcomes from their mentorship program. The EAO team will then pair the member with a minimum of three mentors that suit their requirements. The next step is for the EAO member to have a fifteen-minute phone conversation with each of the allocated mentors to decipher the best fit for them. Mentors can look wonderful on paper, but if there is no ‘click’ then the mentorship will not be beneficial to either party.
Preferred Vendors List
The best source of vendor referral is by word of mouth. Therefore, EAO continues to ask our members to provide us with their most favorable vendors, along with contact names within each company. As we grow this list, the EAO website will have an internal Preferred Vendors List comprised of categories (Hotels, Private Jet, Concierge, Meeting Planners, Ground Transportation, etc.) accompanied by who recommended them as a preferred EAO vendor.
The additional benefits of accessing this list of vendors are the VIP treatment you will receive due to being a member of EAO.
WHAT ARE THE BENEFITS OF THE EAO WEBSITE?
Our EAO website is a member only communication tool. Once members create their personal profile, the ability to utilize the entire site is granted.
Our network connects members directly to all EAO services and benefits. It is the one stop-shop for all things EAO!
Users are able to interact with fellow members across six different areas of the website, including:
- EAO member search – members can search for their peers by name and/or city. The profiles can be viewed and contacted directly.
- EAO chapter forums – members can post content, share resources, comment & respond to trending discussions. Members from other chapters are welcome to visit and contribute to any chapter forum they choose. This is also a perfect resource for members that need connections in cities where their employer/s visit for business.

WHAT IS BEHIND EVERY LEADER?
Behind Every Leader is an educational conference held up to SIX times a year that attracts EA’s of all levels from around the globe who are interested in continued education and the opportunity to network with fellow EA’s. Attendees share high-level best practices for their experiences and pick up ideas to better understand how to grow and develop in their careers.

EAO membership is all-inclusive except for events open to non-members. EAO members save 20% on all of these events:

WHAT ARE THE QUALIFICATIONS TO BECOME AN APPOINTED MENTOR?
EAO mentors must qualify the following credentials:
- Still active in their role as an EA/PA
- Experience in this role 7+ years
- Passionate about evolving and continued education
HOW DO EAO VENDORS BENEFIT MEMBERS?
Vendors, chosen by fellow EAO members and EAO HQ support EAO and its members through financial and in-kind sponsorship of events and programs. Sponsors also offer services that are important to EA’s and their executives/companies. Each sponsor is chosen based on the relevance of their product or service to EAO members.
WHAT IS THE ROLE OF A CHAPTER LEADER?
The chapter leader handles the strategic direction of the chapter and presides over the group at chapter meetings.
